Derived from the Greek word Halos, meaning salt – Halotherapy is a form of alternative medicine using salt.
Similar to traditional Basalt Stones, Himalayan Salt Stones can be used over the entire body.
Not only does it deliver superb thermotherapy, but Himalayan salt is also known to contain 84 trace minerals. These minerals are very helpful for the human body.
When the body is massaged with the Himalayan Salt Stones, these minerals are absorbed in the body, helping to replenish the loss of these minerals from the body.
It’s important to note that because there is no way to determine exactly how much of the mineral content is absorbed by each client, outside of medical testing, that you must be ethical in how you market this benefit of the Himalayan Salt Stones.
An excess of positive ions in the body induces inflammation. Himalayan Salt Stones help in balancing the excessive positive ions with the negative ions. This leads to reduced inflammation and relief from pain and swelling.
Himalayan Salt Stones are also helpful in detoxifying the skin and body and nourishing them with the beneficial minerals, also known for being naturally antimicrobial.
The skin feels smoother and nourished as it is exfoliated by the stone massage.
The Himalayan Salt Stone massage helps in relaxing the body, sending signals to the brain to turn off the stress mode and turn on relaxing mode.
The benefits of adding warm stones to your massage sessions are plentiful as heat can aid in softening muscles, easing circulation through vasodilation allowing you to work deeper layers of skin tissue in less time
